Last month we had the Ethics CE Class presented by Michelle Schrotter, CPCU, CRM, CIC, CIPW who is the training coordinator at Bouchard Insurance in Largo. Although it was a small group, everyone I spoke with who attended said they enjoyed it. Michelle said it was a good group as always. Michelle is now a CPCU so congratulations are in order. The presentation by Scott Griffin, CPCU should be interesting considering the challenges of property insurance in Florida. In March we’ll have a presentation by Citizens. In April we’ll have a NLI course in conjunction with the National CPCU Society. The subject of Emotional Intelligence should be interesting. The course is opened to everyone, not just CPCUs or our members. In May we’ll present the Essay Contest Award Winners and hear from Leslie Waters with a legislative update. In June we plan to have a lunch meeting in Sarasota at FCCI. This month after the Board Meeting we hope everyone can join us in the bar adjoining the lobby for a networking opportunity. We need your help in 2008-09. All “volunteers” for committees or the Board please see me for a complimentary drink and I‘ll introduce you to the Board Members. William (Bill) Stitt, Past President is the Nominating Committee Chairman and Program Chair. Prior to the meeting we will recognize all our retired members and invite them to share their thoughts on what CPCU means.
