President's Message
Hello, Florida Suncoast Members! Hope this Chaptergram finds you happy and healthy!
Vice President April Irimescu is representing our chapter at the Leadership Summit in Phoenix April 25-27. As a chapter, we are fortunate to have the funds to send her to this meeting. She has already demonstrated leadership, knowledge, and professionalism for Florida Suncoast. She will represent us well and will bring back lots of information for us. Thank you, April!
Our May meeting includes a legislative update by Cynthia Webster, President/CEO of Jack Rice Insurance and former FAIA President. We will also meet our scholarship winners. We are very excited about our scholarship contest this year. We received over twenty submissions! (The most we ever received! ) Our Scholarship Judging Committee had a tough time choosing the two winners. Come to our May meeting and meet the winners and their parents.
The results of the CPCU Society membership survey are out. Please see page 5 and 6 for the results. We want to increase your engagement and satisfaction with our chapter. We have about 200 members and only 28 members responded to the survey. Please share your thoughts and ideas to make our chapter better! Check out our new “Technical Tip of the Month.” This is a new feature in our Chaptergram! Bill Stitt provided an article on flood changes that are effective May 1, 2013. Thank you, Bill, for providing our inaugural “Technical Tip.” We’re looking for volunteer authors/contributors. Feel free to share your technical knowledge with the group!
