Mike is the Director of Underwriting at Florida Peninsula Insurance Company. He has more than 37 years of experience in the insurance industry, in roles including Assistant Vice President, Property-Casualty Underwriting, at American Modern Insurance Group/MunichRe America and Regional Director of Underwriting at the Auto Club Group. Koscielny has served as a member of the CPCU Society Leadership Council, as Leadership Council Liaison to the CPCU-Loman Education Foundation Advisory Committee and Chapter Governor. He also serves as Vice President of the Underwriting Executives Council. He holds the CPCU, CIC, ARe, AIC, API, and AINS designations.

Dave graduated from the University of North Florida in 1984 & began his career as a claim rep.  In 1997, he obtained his agent license and became a producer with a large local independent insurance agency and FAIA member.

In July 2008, Dave joined FAIA as the Citizens' Liaison & instructor for the Education Department. In September 2011, Dave became the Director of Education.

Dave has knowledge & expertise in both the carrier & agency side of the insurance business. Dave served as a board member, past president, and catastrophe chair for the Independent Insurance Agents of Tallahassee.
