Hello Florida Suncoast CPCU Members and Friends!

Hope this message finds you happy, healthy, and ready for an exciting year! Your board met last week and laid the foundation for an exceptional  year!

We are excited about our two new director positions. Greg Golson is our new I-Day Chairman and Blake Nguyen is our new Social Media Chariman.  With these new positions, we will contribute to the Society’s Strategic Plan: Knowledge. Empowerment. Engagement and meet our chapter goals.

We are planning an exciting ethics meeting in March, an outreach meeting @ FCCI Insurance in Sarasota in April (weather, anyone?) and our legislative update and scholarship award meeting in May.  This year we decided to award our scholarship to a student enrolled in the Insurance AA degree at SPC.

We are working on a panel discussion for the summer, our new designee meeting in September, and we’re planning our 2nd annual I-Day!

We’re also looking for a few more director positions. We would love to fill the Programs Chairman and Membership Chairman positions.  Contact a board member for information.

Improved Communication:          Our 2016 Chapter plan, bylaws, and meeting minutes are now on website!  Click here, or from the Home page, click About This Chapter, then Documents.  You will find these in the Members Only section.

Our next meeting will be Monday February  8TH at  3 Daughters Brewing in St. Pete.  John Bell from Philadelphia Insurance will educate us on the exposures facing a craft brewery  and the Philadelphia brewery product . We will have plenty of time to learn, network, eat, and enjoy some of the 3 Daughters special brews!

Please join us and invite your colleagues and friends.  Members can attend at no charge and guests pay only a small fee.  We ask that you register so we have enough food on hand .  Here is the link to register:

We hope to see you at a meeting soon!

In fellowship,

Michele Schrotter, CPCU
