Hello fellow insurance professionals.

It's brilliant October! 10th month of the year filled with radiant power and transformation. We had our first meeting of fall at the Chili's Tampa Stadium location on September 14th. Our incoming president, Michele Schrotter, hosted the meeting recognizing our 2015 New Designees which was well attended and a lot of fun! Congratulations to all of the New Designees who were present and for those who traveled to Indianapolis this week to be recognized, well done!

This is the start of our opportunity to continue to recognize our newest members and remain focused on bringing in new members to the CPCU family. Please reach out to your colleagues and friends who have chosen to embark on the CPCU journey and invite them to join you as our guest at a future meeting. We have some amazing events planned over the next few months and we'd love to see some new faces this holiday season.

In an effort to 'Extend Our Reach", the Suncoast Chapter is hosting its first ever I-Day on Tuesday, 10/20. I-Day is the premier event to learn and network with your fellow insurance professionals.  This year the event is free for all current, paid members.  Alex Carey, IBHS Fortified and Coastal Home Program Manager, will present and share the latest on Fortified home building and certification; a complimentary lunch will be provided. There will be give-aways, prizes, and opportunities to speak with FL fraud detectives, weather and lightning experts, emergency preparedness planners, and many more. So take advantage of this free event and register today,

Our 2015 operating plan and initiatives embrace the spirit of new and are centered on the three main components of the Society's Circle of Excellence program: To provide relevant knowledge, To empower professionals to exceed, and To engage future generations of leaders. Through balance, strength, focus and leadership we are "Extending Our Reach".

• Balance is attained by having strong brand identity in the CPCU designation and continued commitment of the many companies and individuals represented within our chapter.

• Strength is achieved through increased membership, success in chapter activities and related industry events and strong financials.

• Focus exists in our desire to always strive to do what’s right for our national society, local chapter, members and candidate members, and community.

With this and strong leadership, we are positioned to continue to thrive, add value to our members and continue to be recognized as a leading chapter within the CPCU Society for many more years to come.

Proud to be a CPCU!
